Analysis of MRI based brain tumor identification using segmentation technique

With the remarkable growth in image processing for discussing medical imaging is one of the emerging field and the requirements for advancements in medical imaging is always emergent and challenging. MRI based brain medical imaging are used for medical diagnosis since it exhibit the inner portions of the human brain and Brain tumor is the severe life altering diseases. Image segmentation plays vital role in image processing as it facilitates in the extraction of suspicious regions from the MR Images. Watershed method is one of the typical used segmentation technique for brain MRI and primarily useful for gray scale image segmentation applied on mathematical morphology and region detection. The similar research outcomes demonstrate the improvement in brain MRI segmentation by combining various methods and techniques. Nevertheless the accurate results are not been proposed and demonstrated in the comparable researches. Hence, this work demonstrates the superior accuracy for brain tumor detection in compared to the presented methodologies. Also the major identified bottleneck of the recent research outcomes are limited to detection of brain tumor and the overall analyses of internal structure of the brain is mostly ignored being one of the most important factor for disorder detection. This work also explores the possibilities of identifying the brain regions with potential disorders.
