A review on detecting and transmitting events with wireless sensor networks in logistics

The logistics department has an important area of application for technology concerned with Wireless Sensors. The Idea is to deploy Wireless sensor motes in vehicles to study environmental conditions related to that of the carried goods. Using its communication as well as computation capability, wireless sensor motes can detect the occurrence of threshold violation(events) and send according alarming signals in real time to respective users via the network and relevant motes. As such our system needs transmitting alarming signals and sensor information from the network composed of wireless sensors to users. Also as Energy is a limited resource in wireless sensor environment due to mostly battery-operated sensor nodes, we focus on Energy Optimization which increases to a great extent the life of wireless sensors.
