Determination and preliminary analysis of position accuracy on IRNSS satellites

This paper deals about the availability, visibility and Position accuracies of Indian Regional Navigation Satellites System (IRNSS). The position accuracies has been observed and plotted with respect to the standard time. The IRNSS - user receiver placed at school of engineering and technology, Bangalore. Indian space research organization has launched three Indian regional navigation satellites (IRNSS-1A, IRNSS-1B, IRNSS-1C) which are independent from global positioning system satellites and are used for navigation, tracking, mapping, surveying and other services for users within the coverage region. The position errors are calculated using x position, y position and z position data. Here, the geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) has reached a maximum level due to limited number of satellites in the orbit and it is plotted.
