DC arc flash risk assessments for photovoltaic systems

Due to the lack of a standard for calculation of DC arc flash incident energy (IE) for Photovoltaic (PV) arrays, it has been necessary to rely on different calculation methods presented by various engineers and researchers working in the field. This paper compares the two methods for incident energy calculation that have been previously proposed and discussed and seeks to reconcile these two methods.
