When should we use HTTP2 multiplexed stream?

The HTTP/2 was finalized in May 2015 and is in progress of being adopt by many service parties. However, its performance and characteristics is not well studied. In this paper, we investigated the benefits of the HTTP/2's multiplexed stream. The multiplexed stream allows multiple requests to be sent over a single transport-layer connection. From our study, we found that each multiplexed stream is equivalent to a separate connection if bandwidth limit is not reached. However, benefits of multiplexed stream greatly diminished after the bandwidth is fully utilized. In highly congested network, multiplexed stream does not compete for bandwidth better than HTTP/1.1 connection.
