Measurement of the electric transient shielding effectiveness of a cubic resonator in time and frequency domain

In this paper, the electric transient shielding effectiveness of a cubic metallic shield is determined via measurement in time and frequency domain. At first, the electric field strength of a UWB pulse inside a GTEM cell is measured with a D-Dot sensor and an oscilloscope. Then, the spectral density distribution of its poynting vector is calculated. The electric field inside the shield is measured in the time domain with the D-Dot sensor and in the frequency domain with a network analyser. The electric transient shielding effectiveness is calculated from there and compared for the two different methods.
