Developments in UHF PD monitoring system for switchgear and transformer paper title

It is important to obtain the operational safety of the Switchgear, Transformer because The electrical facility plays a great role in ensuring the reliability of power supply. For that reason, many researchers develop various methods to diagnose their condition. In this paper, it is presented that online Partial Discharge (PD) detection system of condition monitoring for MCSG (7.2kV, 22.9kV), Dry type Transformer based on ultra-high frequency (UHF) measurements. In order to detect PD Signal, UHF Sensor and Data Acquisition Unit (DAU), HMI (PD monitoring S/W) were developed. Four artificial insulation defect models were designed to generate UHF PD signals and PD Signal was detected by a UHF Sensor. This work could contribute to develop Advanced Diagnosis & preventive system.
