Parameters and limits of bipolar conduction theory with AC excitation

Electric fields and bipolar charge density distributions along with terminal currents for conduction between parallel plate electrodes have been theoretically defined by using a drift dominated conduction model which utilizes Langevin recombination and sinusoidal excitation. [1, 2] Charge carrier velocities in the model are proportional to the electric field through their mobilities. In return the electric field is also related to carrier charge densities through Gauss's law. Previous studies have compared terminal current waveform solutions from the model to measured waveforms with good results. This study extends previous results by including spatial and temporal solutions of electric fields, charge densities and terminal current with variations in charge density mobilities and applied frequency. Also, computation of mobility and limits of agreement between measurement and theory are defined.
