Proximity effect of a conducting plane in electro-optic field probe measurements

Electric stresses are of critical importance in high voltage apparatus. Their measurement can be valuable, especially in situations where calculations are approximate, such as in three dimensional geometries or when transient impedances are not well known. This paper presents results of a study which examined the use of an electro-optic field probe for field measurements.
