Monitoring of the Rift Valley on African plate in elastic creeping over magma motion

The author introduces a problem on the Rift Valley in the eastern Africa. It is said that this Valley was formed in an age of 20 million years before present though the valley is yet continuing to move east at a rate of 5 cm in a year. The author has to notice this motion as an elastic creeping horizontally in the local African plate. Nevertheless, it is unfortunate to see no systematical compilation of the data exist indeed. Then, the author has to introduce a bold model of the valley in motion in order to realize what mechanism is the most proper in modelling on the bases of his scientific understanding with the related information updated.
