Multi-frequency MUSIC for searching small dielectric inclusions surrounded by random scatterers

Results from numerical simulations to detect small dielectric inclusions surrounded by dielectric random scatterers have shown the feasibility of the MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm, but further improvements must be made. In this paper, we consider the success of the multi-frequency MUSIC algorithm in detecting such inhomogeneities. Furthermore, we introduce the weighted multi-frequency MUSIC algorithm and examine its detection performance by comparing single- and multi-frequency MUSIC algorithms. To demonstrate the improvement achieved, we present the simulation results.
