Imaging characteristics of corner reflector under multi-azimuth angles

Corner reflector is a metal equipment consisting of three mutually perpendicular planes. It is widely used in radiometric calibration as well as an ideal point. Earlier researchers usually regard it as an isotropic target for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) applications. However, deep analysis indicates imaging characteristics of a corner reflector vary with azimuth observation angle. With the increasing of SAR resolution, it is necessary to get rid of the resolution effect of corner reflector, which cannot be treated as an ideal point under wide-azimuth angles. Therefore, this paper discusses the change regulation of the imaging characteristics of a corner reflector via simulations.
