A circularly polarized wide-angle scanning phased array antenna design

A geometry centre feeding miniaturized microstrip rectangular ring antenna is designed for wide-angle scanning phased array antenna in this paper. With the proposed design, the peak gain of the antenna array only drops 3.4 dB when the main beam steers to 60°, which is slightly different with the theory value (3 dB) and it means the proposed antenna has excellent performance for wide-angle scanning phased array.
