Studies of dish optical design for high sensitivity

Sensitivity, one of the most important parameter of a radio telescope, is highly depended on the dish optical design for a dish-type telescope. This paper presents several ways to improve the sensitivity, i.e., higher aperture efficiency and lower noise temperature in dish optical design, for example, dish optical configuration selection, beam shaping, and reflector extension.
