Application Research of Building Information Model in the Construction Project Life Cycle

According to the information management value of construction project based on Building Information Modeling up to now, a general structure of Building Information Modeling (BIM) based platform for life cycle information management is established and detailed implementations in construction projects are given. The general structure of BIM based information management platform is investigated in detail including data level, model level and function module level. The research on this topic can effectively avoid information loss and communication problems during information management process and provide theory support for construction projects lifecycle information management, which is conducive to the realization of whole lifecycle information management goal.
