Study of the Space-Charge-Limited current on circular diodes applied to virtual cathode oscillator

In this paper we present a study on the diode current in Vircators working in non-relativistic regime. An approximated expression for the Space-Charge-Limited current density, as a function of the electric field is presented. The results are compared with experiments reported in the open literature and with the existing theory.
