Telemedicine approach for remote patient monitoring system using smart phones with an economical hardware kit

Mobiles have become one of the most essential part of our life with the capabilities of smart phone we can incorporate it with a telemedicine terminology to monitor patient status remotely. The proposed system is mainly designed for the rural Indian population suffering from hypertension and Hypotension and it is also programmed to capture pre-cardiac arrest situation for remote people to take precautions in contacting the medical/Healthcare Unit for assistance. Biomedical sensors and photo-electronic sensors are used to capture input characteristics and a microprocessor to perform the analysis part. The results are demonstrated live with an android application.
