Sybil attackin VANET

Every car that participates in VANET, it turns that in to wireless router or a node with which the network is turned into wide-range network. Two major concerns in VANET are privacy and security. Due to highly forceful environment in VANETs computation time for authentication is more. At the same time most of the schemes for preserving the privacy are prone to Sybil attacks. Lightweight authentication scheme is proposed in this paper, this scheme is within vehicles and Road Side Units, as well as within vehicles to other vehicles further to frame a secure communication system. In VANET, where privacy of anonymous legitimate nodes is of prime importance, anonymous verification of those legitimate nodes is also essential. But, unfortunately many of the privacy preserving schemes are sensitive to Sybil attacks. Preventing and detecting Sybil attacks in privacy-friendly VANET environment is a daunting challenge. The timestamps way is used in this method and also the computing rate is downsized for verification in remarkably crowded traffic areas. By keeping the vehicles actual status confidential the solitude of vehicle is protected.
