Improvement in efficiency of PV module using soft computing based MPPT

Maximum power point tracking techniques (MPPT) are working in photovoltaic systems to increase PV array output power. MPPT provide reference value of current or voltage to the converter. Many MPPT algorithms are presented in the literature but they are not proficient in speedily varying environmental condition. In this work authors present fuzzy logic controller (FLC) based MPPT to increase the competence of a PV panel. This paper presents a new way to generate AC from PV module by using fuzzy logic MPPT. For DC to DC conversion high step-up converter and DC to AC conversion half - bridge based inverter is presented. The purpose to use improved boost converter is to increase the low photovoltaic voltage. All the results are verified using MATLAB R2010a.
