Different types of SRAM chips for power reduction: A survey

Memory is the basic and main part of the most of embedded portable devices. These memories are consists of the CMOS transistors. Among all these memories SRAM memory is highly used in embedded and any other electronic devices. CMOS transistors are produces the leakage current because of this leakage power obtained. For this reduction in the leakage power different types of SRAM chips are obtained. In this paper have done the survey of different types of SRAM chips on the basis of area, speed and power. Among these chips 6T SRAM cell is used in different combinations and using this 6T SRAM cell different combinations of chips have done. Reduction in the power is the main concept of SRAM memory. So, in this survey paper give the idea about various works done in reducing power consumption of different SRAM chips using different methods on different technologies of various SRAM chips.
