Efficient implementation structures of AC-3's filter banks

Efficient implementation structures of filter banks used in the AC-3 audio speech coding system are presented, these structures are based on the fast DCT-IV. Compared with structures using the FFT, the computational complexity of the structures presented in this paper are reduced by about 70%.
