Abstract:
A dual X/Ka-band corrugated feed horn has been developed for deep space telecommunications. The feed horn geometry uses a spline-based profile with dual-depth corrugations where the X-band signal is injected by a set of four transverse rectangular waveguides. The geometry of the horn is optimized to have the same pattern shape and collocated phase centers at all frequencies of interest.
