Representative PWM waveform generator for measurement of partial discharges in power electronic systems

A partial discharges-free power source is a prerequisite for appropriate partial discharges (PD) evaluation in power electronics systems. Moreover, the voltage waveform is a significant parameter which can affect the discharges' nature. This paper describes the development of a PD-free voltage source delivering pulse width modulation voltage for realistic test purpose.
