Low frequency electrical properties of selected dielectrics

It seems that each material had its own individual behavior and no generalized rules can be formulated from the data. For our own purposes the phenolic (curve 7) came closest to satisfy our requirement of a dissipation factor of unity. For any other specific use the material should be tested as close to the expected operating conditions as possible in view of the presently existing unpredictability of electrical behavior.
