Microcomputer applications: physiological measurements

In a sense, the use of the computer for real-time acquisition of data dates back to the first modern electronic computers. These machines were designed to calculate shell trajectories based on radar signals echoing from the target. Both the price and size of these machines prohibited medical laboratory use.
