Experimental study on polarimetric scattering for grasping state of stricken bridge

Stricken area monitoring is one of the most important applications in PolSAR data utilization. In this paper, to find out an effective polarimetric indicator for accurately grasping state of stricken bridge, we carry out polarimetric scattering analysis for fully polarimetric SAR data acquired by measurement for scaled girder bridge models. The measurement was carried out in anechoic chamber of Niigata University. In the analysis, the simplified girder bridge models with/without the collapsed part are considered. For each model, the dependency of the polarimetric scattering characteristics on both incident and squint angles is in detail investigated in the analysis.
