Radio frequency synthesis for ultrastable X-band oscillators

The design of a low phase noise frequency synthesiser for use with ultrastable X-band oscillators is presented in this work. The synthesiser produces four different frequencies 10 MHz, 100 MHz, 1GHz and 10 GHz. The single sideband phase noise and Allan deviation for these signals are reported. These signals can be used directly as local oscillators or to replace reference oscillators.
