Meteor trail interference of owe density suppression algorithm based on DWT-WF-CP in OTHR

In general, meteor trail interference of owe density (MTIOD) can degrade target detection performance of over-thehorizon radar (OTHR). By exploiting MTIOD suppression algorithm based on dyadic wavelet transform (DWT), window function (WF) and CANDECOMP/PARAFAC (CP) decomposition, an effective approach is proposed to solve the problem. The position of MTIOD is calculated through utilizing DWT and WF. Therefore, with the data involved in the position, Hankel tensor of three orders is constituted. CP algorithm is applied to resolve the obtained Hankel tensor so as to attain the parameters of MTIOD. On the basis of these parameters, echo signal of MTIOD in time domain is generated. After excising MTIOD from echo data, echo signal without MTIOD is achieved. Compared with the existing MTIOD suppression methods, experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method which not just improves computational accuracy of the position of MTIOD, but decreases remnant of MTIOD after interference suppression.
