Evaluation of the potocatalytic activity of semiconductors by using organic dyes

In recent years, semiconductor materials have been widely studied as photocatalysts for the removal of organic and inorganic pollutants from water system. Their photocatalytic activities could be evaluated by various approaches, among which degradation of organic dyes is found a very effective and facile method. This study for this first time discusses a process about how to choose proper dye for a photocatalytic activity testing system.
