Applying Feature Selective Validation method to quantify EM indoor location system

Accurate location system using electromagnetic sensors is one of the effective solutions being used in indoor position applications. Non-linearity of data have important influence on accuracy of location system. We proposed the mapping algorithm that calibrates data received by EM sensors and realized high accuracy around 1cm. In order to quantify performance of mapping algorithm to real time EM recorded data, we defined the point to point error distance, its distribution at different heights/radius and adopt Feature Selective Validation method to test the performance of the algorithm. We presents the effectiveness of calibration algorithm in indoor positioning system based on EM sensors by the interpretation of FSV results.
