Study on stress distribution of multilayer steel wire wound hose under the condition of oil pressure

Based on the composite material mechanics and SOLIDWORKS software, the stress distribution of multi-wires wound hose under the condition of oil pressure was simulated and experimented, using multi-wall steel wire wound hose in Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) as a calculation and simulation example. The results show that the stress of inmost wire is the maximum, and the stress of outermost wire is the minimum under the condition of oil pressure. The stress distribution law is that stress is gradually weakened from the inmost steel wire wall to the outermost steel wire wall, it can be concluded that the decrease in stress from the first steel wire layer to the central level of the second steel wire layer is about twice as much as that from central level of the second steel wire layer to the outermost surface of the fourth steel wire layer. The closer to the inmost surface, the more oil pressure fluctuation influences its stress.
