Efficiency comparison of AC distribution system and DC distribution system in microgrid

Nowadays, there has been a far reaching of renewable energy framework because of ecological requests. Therefore, because of the nature of the renewable energy framework, it is very effective to utilize distributed generation in the power system framework. In a microgrid system, efficient power must be transferred to the customers with negligible energy loss. Researchers have depicted loss comparison between the types of loads used in microgrid. In addition to the previous research performed, this paper explains the efficiency of the energy supply of low voltage direct circulating (DC) distribution scheme. There are two contextual analyses mulled over for efficiency estimation. To start with case is when rotating circling (AC) power from the main power grid is changed over to DC system and second case is when DC power generation from renewable energy source is specifically utilized towards DC distribution system. The power losses and efficiencies for both the cases are figured and analyzed. It has been found that the DC distribution system taking after second case has higher efficiency on compared with the first case.
