Coordinated optimization of power system with plug-in electric vehicles and photovoltaic power stations based on game theory

The volatility and randomness of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) charging/discharging power output and photovoltaic (PV) power output have brought new challenges to the economical and secure operation of power system. Time-of-use (TOU) price mechanis can encourage reasonable charging and discharging plan of PEVs to fully play its role in peak load shifting. In view of the uncertainty of PV power output while taking into account the guidance of TOU price, a two-person zero sum game min-max model for optimal dispatch of power system with PEVs and PV stations is constructed utilizing game theory. Aiming at minimize the maximum operation cost caused by PV power, the model utilizes its decoupling property to obtain the optimal dispatching strategy using dual optimization relaxation algorithm, meanwhile, taking grid dispatchers and nature as the bilateral game players. Finally. The simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed model.
