A portable system for 3D reconstruction based on Stereo-View

This paper presents a system for 3D reconstruction. It is composed of both hardware and software system: Stereo-View Input System and 3D Reconstruction System. Stereo-View Input System is a portable platform. It is based on an ARM processor, which can be implemented on most phones and pads as an extra or embedded device with Android. 3D Reconstruction System starts with the pinhole model and essential matrix. We utilize the epipolar constraint and the multi-steerable filters to calibrate the hardware system. Then the system generates the depth-map and displays the result of 3D reconstruction on the screen.
