Optimal energy efficient data transmission in cognitive relay network

In this paper, joint co-operative spectrum sensing and data transmission in Amplify and Forward (AF) relay assisted network is observed. The problem is mathematically formulated as maximization of secondary energy efficiency (EE) under the constraints of both sensing performance and interference threshold to primary users (PU). Extensive simulation results show that there exists an optimal amplifying gain to achieve maximum secondary EE. Furthermore, compared the EE for different values of probability of detection, interference threshold and fraction of time frame for data transmission.
