Designing RFID based object tracking system by applying multilevel security

The conventional object tracking system based on different wireless protocol standards is vulnerable to various security threats. Information about tracked object which is supposed to be sent to the authorized person must be secured. As the medium of communication is air, security threats like reply attacks, DoS attacks etc may occur. For this purpose a special provision of applying security protocol needs to be implemented. This paper gives a glance on possible security concepts that would be applicable on hardware platform without affecting the operational speed of object tracking system. This paper suggests a solution with the application of XOR and PRNG Protocol along with Binary ECC protocol at two different stages of object tracking system. The proposed solution would be useful in secured use of object tracking system based on RFID, GPS and GSM module.
