Voltage fluctuations relief by applying VAr control scheme function

Renewable power generation such as rooftop solar PV is resulting in high number of installation due to incentives as drop in prices and environmental awareness. The uncertainty of solar irradiance and cell temperature cause its output power to be varied. Considering high penetration of rooftop solar cell and also load profile in LV distribution system will lead to much more voltage fluctuations. Then, a solution method based on VAr control scheme function that is embedded in PV inverter will be applied to mitigate the problem. This paper uses Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to search optimal parameter of the control function and simulation results are tested on a modified 24-bus LV distribution test system.
