Preparing the postgraduate students for academic environment by specific training and by utilizing technologies

The contribution aims at showing the possible innovations applicable in the preparation of the doctoral students at the Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology so that they are able to operate the academic environment and/or competitively enter regional or international job markets as fully developed personalities. The paper focuses mainly on students' reading and academic writing development plus presentation skills improvement while using information and communication technologies.
