Vehicle-to-grid utilization possibility based on run data of electric vehicles

This research is the study to estimate possibility of the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology which connects electric vehicles (EVs) to a power grid based on the run data of electric cars. This research has the two proposition. The first is the proposition of the method to presume the charge ability of the 10,000 average EVs in Japan. The second is the proposition of the demand leveling simulation in which any driving of EVs is not disturbed and EVs contribute to stabilizing the supply and the demonstration by case study. If EVs which are parked away from home can be connected to the Grid, the 10,000 average EVs will have the ability to charge 16MWh, 13MW and discharge 80MWh, 55MW. And if 50% of households have EVs which can storage 16kWh, EVs can control and reduce Surplus power caused by Photovoltaic power generation (PV).
