Design of decoupling control system for the azimuth control of balloon-borne mission

A Simplified decoupling mechanism consisting of intelligent driver and torque motor without external torque measuring device is introduced. This design method, which employs the Intelligent driver to control the torque motor in current loop mode and to keep the winding current in a certain value, can achieve the goal to decrease the speed of the wheel motor and decouple disturbance torques. Through analyzing the existing methods, this paper provides a simplified design, simulates the decoupling mechanism in both system and circuit levels, and then proves that it can give a continuous control with high precision and reliability when combing with reaction flywheel control system.
