Lightning protection and filter design for the power supply system of communications vehicle

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is of great important for the communication vehicle in Satellite communications (SATCOM) On-The-Move. However, current power system designs are only realized for the filtering or lightning protection of single equipment. What's more, they also do this during the vehicle loading process. In terms of the EMC problem appeared after loading, only a late correction strategy can be used, which will bring much hidden troubles to EMC and security of system. To solve this issue, we have put forward a design plan for power supply system which integrates the lighting protection and filtering during the initial stage of loading for communication vehicle. This system structure has a wide adaptability and is most instructive in power system design. Experiments on 10 vehicles of four types verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, i.e., it can eliminate the interference to a large extent.
