A Summary Of Estimation In Electrical Machine Systems

With increasing regularity, estimation algorithms are be- coming prominent components of electrical machine sys- tems. Their capabilities contribute significantly to improved system performance. In summarizing these contributions, this paper outlines the contemporary role of estimation in high-perfomance electrical machine systems and provides several examples related to motion estimation. Additionally, this paper looks forward, ontlining potential uses of estimation in electrical machine systems, and directions for continued research.
