Design of a cognitive human-computer interface

In order to make the human-computer interface friendly, human factors should be considered in designing interface systems. In this paper, from cognitive aspects and user requirements, several general principles are obtained. On the basis of these principles, the design of the cognitive human- computer interface which has been developed for the intelligent decision-aided system used to evaluate the softscience achievements, is described. Besides, as a key part of human-computer interface design, the cognitive interactive techniques such as heuristic icons, window-icons and network-menus, are also described.
