An Approximate Estimation Method For Coefficients Of A Parabolic Type Dps

The estimation of unknown parameters both in the equation and on the boundary condition of a parabolic distributed parameter system (DFS) is considered. A standardization method is presented to convert the boundary condition into a homogeneous one so that the Galerkin method can be used to transfer the partial differential equations into a set of ordinary differential equations. Then the identification problems can be treated as ordinary optimal control problems. Identifiability problem is breifly discussed to show the validity of simple observation patterns.
