Evaluating hypercontractivity parameters using information measures

We use an equivalent characterization of hypercontractive parameters using relative entropy to compute the hypercontractive region for the binary erasure channel. A similar analysis also recovers the celebrated result for the binary symmetric channel, also called the Bonami-Beckner inequality.
