Resonant all-dielectric planar metamaterials

We report on recent developments of the conception of all-dielectric planar metamaterials that are capable to support high-Q trapped-mode resonant excitations. A set of new designs of metamaterials are proposed and configurations of the unit cell allowing trapped-mode resonances are discussed. Advantages of the proposed designs to manifest high-Q resonant regime providing a concision choice of the degree of structural asymmetry within the unit cell are revealed.
