From radiative transport theory to quantification of light scattering properties

Starting from radiative transport theory, analytical and numerical methods are discussed that allow a quantification of light scattering properties from different experimental approaches. Several examples for the elucidation of, e.g. particle size, by application of Mie theory under consideration of dependent scattering effects and potential applications for chemical process monitoring are given.
