Design and implementation of a test circuit for characterization of fluorescent lamps operated with the Dielectric Barrier Discharge

Fluorescent lamps currently has become very popular, this causes a serious environmental problem when they reach their useful life because Mexico does not have adequate mechanisms for disposing of these lamps. The way in which works originally is by discharge arc, which provides a service life of about 8000 hours, at the end of this life they are generally discarded as common trash, however, these lamps can be used again with a technique called: Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD), however its necessary verified through measurements a model proposed before. In this paper a design and implementation of a test circuit for fluorescent lamps are showed.
