Experimental characterization of a novel semi-resonant dc/dc converter

Recently a new zero-current switching full-bridge isolated DC/DC converter has been presented in literature. A semi-resonant L-C cell without any additional switch allows to achieve the soft-switching conditions. The main benefits of the proposed architecture, which are the zero current switching at both primary and secondary side and the very good exploitation of the HF-transformer, were up to now demonstrated through simulations only. In this paper the results of the first laboratory campaign on a prototype are presented in order to validate the preliminary simulation results.
