Analysis of the impact of direct lightning smart substation overhead ground wire on the station smart components

This paper analyses the lightning striking smart substation earth wire, due to the insulator flashover, after lightning current phase conduction into the substation, passing through transformer and surge arrester action influence on smart components. The influence of the lightning arrester action on the smart components of the switching field is analyzed.
